Gecker Motorsports customers and team drivers have won a lot of races. Our experiences on Dirt and Asphalt have allowed us to come up with some preps that work. We are working with teams in just about every state and 5 countries in continually developing a line of tire preps that win races. It is an on going battle that we are winning. Regardless of your type of racing, we have a chemical program that will work.
What is the best way to prep tires for a car? There are many ways to prep your tires. You can use a foam roller brush and a paint tray as a catch for the chemical while the car is in the air on jack stands. Each tire may take 2-3 minutes to apply what is needed. You can also use a paint brush. Make sure to not get any prep on your hands or make contact with any area of your body.
Some common terms in tire prep?
Top Coat-Applying a light coat at the race track to get a little more grip without getting too soft for the feature.
Mix-In many cases, you can mix two or more preps in getting a combination of effects. Example: Qualifying Solution and Top 5 50/50 mix. This would give you a chemical to make heat immediately and adhesion in the middle of the run.
